The Texas Institute of Letters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating Texas literature and to recognizing distinctive literary achievement. The TIL has no paid staff or office space – our council and officers serve on a volunteer basis and member dues help support our literary awards, basic operating expenses, and the Dobie Paisano Fellowship Program for writers.

Donations, for example, help the Dobie Paisano Fellowship Director make purchases necessary for the upkeep of the house and ranch. Other donations fund prizes not currently endowed, and general donations to the TIL help pay for banquet, website, and printing costs not covered by membership dues. Thank you for your support.
